When In Rome....

If you want to be surrounded with abundant of Halal Food, stay around Roma Termini .It is the train station. There are restaurants selling Halal Pizza , rice and Indian food. You could even be welcomed in Malay by an Indian worker who could converse fluent Malay who has fond memories of Malaysia and Malaysians. We made a rule that we tried all the places before we left Rome.It is heartening to see Muslims in all colours flock together for the blessed food. There are a lot of good hotels around the area.We stayed at Uno Roma Hotel last time we were there. It was behind Roma Termini.

The secret to a great trip is to check with other people. My most reliable source of information would be with TripAdvisor and travel guide books.I trust Lonely Planet and Rick Stevens.Throughout the journey, we often discussed what PakCik Rick would say.Another tip is to ask your friends who had been there.Rome was my second trip but this trip was the trip that we planned. The first trip I just joined the tour so this second trip was more meaningful as I had to plan the trip months beforehand. My advice again is too nerdy as you need to study the places prior to the trip or travel with a friend who does so.

Up North

I hoped to have a relaxing time in Kuala Perlis .However, that was not the case.Kuala Perlis was swamped by throngs of people. The ikan bakar restaurants were having the ball of their time.Somehow the people of Perlis did return to their home state and last night they had a ball as all the restaurants were full of people. So we escaped to the serene town of Arau. There was a new restaurant in Arau; all you can eat buffet.I think the restaurant provides steamboat. If some of you are no longer in Arau, you might be surprised of what Arau can offer nowadays. Not much but the town does improve a lot.At least it has KFC and 7 eleven which make some of us happier.Living in a small town makes you appreciate the lanterns, the ice-cream and the development that slowly but surely taking place.Though when you hanker for sizzling dish from Seoul Garden, you just extinguish the thought quickly as the journey takes about 2 hours from your place.I am still contemplating why I stay in Perlis for a long time which is a mystery to friends and relatives.Perhaps I love the mystery of being in Perlis. Perhaps I love the looks people give when I tell them I am in Perlis.Perhaps there is a place called Aarau in Switzerland.

If you are looking for comedy drama , then look no further.I have followed The Closer and Psych since Season 1.Since yesterday, I am hooked to the Defenders.

Birthday Treats at Secret Recipe

Among other scrumptious food at Secret Recipe, we had these two dishes; Curry Noodle and Mozarella Baked Fish.I heart the baked fish. I won't want to comment on Curry Noodle due to I-don't-want-to-get-sued reason.

Baked Fish.I heart this dish.

Curry Noodle. The first one we had last two weeks was superior in its taste.
