Dear Iman,

Congratulations for scoring 4As and 1B for your UPSR.You have done your best and I congratulate you on that. I know you must be disappointed that you did not get 5As.  However, I am at loss at comforting a dear 12 year old boy. Thank God, you have your wonderful parents to comfort you. So I am dedicating you this post. Yes, this post is especially for you. When you  read this post, you would know how I feel about you and the whole situation.

What matters is you did your best. You did a great job.I am sure of us feel the same way.
Don't be too hard on yourself. Do not spend time analyzing what you did wrong. When you spend more time on regrets and what ifs, you are treading on dangerous water. It is time to move on. This is just the beginning.

Being the eldest is pretty challenging but interesting. You are the trend setter and  have the opportunity to create new paths. However, you have to face overwhelming expectations and responsibilities. The little ones are looking up at you. Sometimes you fail and most of the times you find success. That is being Abang Iman, the leader of the pack. Later on, you will pass the baton to the little ones. Then, you just observe from far.

You might feel down today. However, I am going to celebrate today. Today, I salute you Iman for being a brilliant boy, adorable nephew, responsible abang, cheeky little one , great son and all the great things you are

Today I have a peek of a man you will become..and I can't wait to meet the man.

You were our  dream that comes true.

Sentosa Villa, Taiping

I first heard of Sentosa Villa when my sis stayed over there and bragged about the beauty of the place. She has a thing for resorts. Ly had an obsession with owning a kebun or dusun and building a home there. Meanwhile my dear bro-in-law was involved in an accident. We just had to pay a visit to Taiping.We had lunch there. The food was acceptable but the place is perfect for writing. I could write here and relax.

Happy birthday! I love you a lot. I really hope you will find happiness, love & contentment. In my eyes, you are still my little niece. I know you will make choices and I will be worried about you . However, I trust you and have to respect your choices. You don't have to own branded bags and latest fashion to be someone aspiring as you are already great as you are. I have seen your laugh, pain, frustration, wishes, dreams & fear. I pray I will be able to share more time with you.Happy Birthday Sweetheart��

Kuala Kangsar

On the 2nd day of Hari Raya, we went on a half-day trip to the royal town of Kuala Kangsar. The best food is of course Laksa , Pasembor and Cendol at the bank of Sungai Kangsar. Afterwards we walked along Sg Kangsar looking at beautiful views of serene Sayong . Later on a drive up Bukit Candan enjoying the regal castle and gorgeous Masjid. We got bored and drove to Taiping for more Raya experiences.

Fresh slices of Pineapples in Insadong

Travelling in a foreign country means foraying into a foreign canvas. This time, I was captivated by fresh slices of juicy pineapples sold by this friendly seller. I was taken by the presentation and seduced by the juicy fruit. Seoul in summer is heavenly but beware of the rain. 

Restoran Bunga Naga Atas Bukit

The ambience is great and it has good food. It is a nice place to entertain friends and family members. Make sure you get the direction and reserve the place first if you plan to entertain your friends and family members. The host is friendly and it is a good place to relax and dine.

Lunch Tradition with Little Nad

Little Nad was obviously no longer little. It becomes our tradition to have lunch with Nad whenever we are in KL. She got an hour break and we would have that time to have lunch and catching up. We would always have great time especially when I would have time asking her about her life up close and personal. I am proud of who she becomes. Love you Nad...

Bondi Beach

Everyone seems to talk about Bondi Beach. So once we were in Sydney, we decided to go Bondi Beach to see the great Bondi Beach. However, we were not dressed for the trip. I did walk on the sand...I love the texture of the sand. I love the beach and could stare at the sea for hours. We went there by bus. Hi again!

I have been busy. It is not a good excuse. Too many events passed by and make me think and rethink.  Thinking too much and too often at times remind me of Dexter. Classes  and teaching a new code this semester overwhelm me. This is my life and my choice. I enjoy it. Being with my students kind of theurepatic though at times they can't wait to get out of  classes. I lost another friend and heard two more are going through cancer battles. My prayers are with them. On good days, I will remember to eat right. On others , I just eat what I eat. Like what that woman said....Tiap tiap hari ada je orang mati kat kampung saya.Semua mati sebab kencing manis.... Perhaps as Malaysians we need to eat right. Today must be my good day! Happy Hari Malaysia!

Ms. Moscow is back in Moscow after a shopping spree that left her penniless. Serves her right. I love her a lot but she got to learn the hard lesson. There is life than the bags, shoes and Pandora. I guess by now my present is just a thought.haha. She will kill me if she reads this but she has her life to live. She won't read this post..unless if someone tells her.

A tribute to a Dear friend

Today we lost an angel . PM NorFaidah succumbed to her cancer battle at 5.15 a.m. She battled her cancer alone without wanting her family members and friends to worry about her. Last Friday she was admitted to the hospital and today she left us. I did visit her last Sunday.Little I knew , it was the last time I saw her . I thought she was having a lung infection and she would be back at work soon. We joked with her family members and she told me that she got two week MC. I told her to relax. In her simple way, she told me not to worry as she would be back for work.On Monday the campus was shocked when we heard that she was suffering from lung cancer Stage 4. Her family brought her to KL and she was admitted to the hospital. Even the doctors were helpless to help as she was at a terminal stage. Knowing she was sick in KL, friends drove and flew there to pay their respect. They even hold a sembahyang hajat and bacaan yasin for a dedicated person.She was surrounded by love. Kak B even said.Ui*TM owes her a lot. She would be the first one to punch in and the last one to punch out. A person who heard no evil and talk no evil.

It is hard to talk about Faidah in the past time. I have known this person since 1997. From the beginning till now she amazed me and inspired me to be a better person.Innalillah! Rest in peace dear friend.
